Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 3 tbsp ginger
  • garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine yogurt, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala powder, red chili powder, paprika, ground cumin, and salt in a large bowl. Mix well to form a marinade.
  2. Cut the chicken breasts into 1 inch cubes and add them to the marinade. Toss gently to coat each piece evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium high heat. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, leaving a small gap between each piece.
  4. Grill the skewers for 8 10 minutes, turning occasionally and brushing with any remaining marinade, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
  5. Remove from grill, garnish with fresh cilantro leaves, and serve with lime wedges on the side.

Chef’s Insight

Marinating the chicken overnight enhances the flavors, but you can still achieve great results with just a 2-hour marination.

Notes

Adjust the spice levels according to your preference by adding more or less red chili powder and paprika.
