Fresh salsa 7. Sour cream 8. Jalapeño slices 9. Green onions, chopped 10. Olive oil 11. Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan to high heat. Season the steaks with salt, pepper, and taco seasoning, then sear for 2 3 minutes on each side (for medium rare). Remove from heat, let rest for 5 minutes, and slice into strips.
  2. Spread a thin layer of refried beans over the base of a large baking tray or grill safe pan.
  3. Add a single layer of tortilla chips on top of the beans, followed by half of the shredded cheese and steak slices. Repeat with another layer of chips, beans, cheese, and steak.
  4. Place in the oven at 400°F for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Alternatively, place on the grill and cook for 5 7 minutes with the lid down.
  5. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh salsa, sour cream, jalapeño slices, and green onions.
