  • 1. 24 whole chicken wings 2. 3 tbsp light brown sugar 3. 1 tbsp paprika 4. 1 tsp cayenne pepper 5. 1 tsp garlic powder 6. 1 tsp onion powder 7. 1/2 tsp ground black pepper 8. 1/2 tsp salt 9. 1/4 cup bourbon 10. 1/4 cup BBQ sauce 11. 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Combine brown sugar, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt in a small bowl to make the dry rub.
  2. Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them on a large baking sheet.
  3. Evenly coat the wings with half of the dry rub mixture, reserving the rest for later use.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together bourbon, BBQ sauce, and apple cider vinegar to create the sauce.
  5. Preheat your grill to medium high heat (about 375°F).
  6. Grill wings over direct heat until cooked through, turning occasionally, about 20 25 minutes. Brush with some of the bourbon sauce every 5 minutes.
  7. Remove wings from the grill and toss them in a large bowl with the remaining dry rub mixture.
  8. Return the coated wings to the grill and cook for another 3 4 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the dry rub to caramelize.
