  • style) 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup molasses 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp chili powder 1 tsp smoked paprika 6 slider buns, toasted

Instructions

  1. Prepare the barbecue sauce by whisking together apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and smoked paprika in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Season the pork shoulder generously with salt and pepper. Place the seasoned pork shoulder on the preheated grill, fat side up. Cook over indirect heat for 2 hours, maintaining a temperature of 250°F.
  3. After 2 hours, brush the pork shoulder with half of the prepared barbecue sauce. Continue to cook for another hour or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F. Brush with the remaining sauce during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
  4. Remove the pork from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before shredding the meat using two forks. Return the pulled pork to the grill and warm through for an additional 5 10 minutes.
  5. Serve the Memphis style barbecue pulled pork on toasted slider buns.
