made and seasoned with your favorite burger spice blend 2. 6 burger buns, split and lightly toasted on the grill 3. 6 slices of cheddar cheese 4. 6 tablespoons BBQ sauce (homemade or store
bought) 5. 1 large red onion, thinly sliced into rings 6. 2 cups fresh spinach leaves 7. 1 ripe avocado, sliced 8. 6 pieces of bacon, cooked crispy
Instructions
Preheat your grill to medium high heat.
Place the beef patties on the grill and cook for 4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese and allow it to melt.
While the burgers are cooking, brush both sides of the sliced red onion rings with BBQ sauce. Place them on the grill and cook for 2 3 minutes per side until charred and tender. Remove from the grill and set aside.
Once the patties are cooked and cheese is melted, remove them from the grill and place each patty on the bottom half of the toasted buns.
Top each patty with a layer of spinach leaves, 3 grilled BBQ sauced red onion rings, 2 slices of avocado, 3 crispy bacon pieces, and finish it off with the top half of the toasted bun.
Serve immediately, and enjoy your Smoky Mountain BBQ Burger with a side of crispy, seasoned fries.
