  • 1 lb ground beef, 6 slices American cheese, 6 hamburger buns, salt, pepper, oil, 1 small onion, 1 cup shredded lettuce, 2 tomatoes, 6 pickle chips, 6 slices of cheddar cheese, 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, 3 tablespoons ketchup, 1 tablespoon mustard, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or pan to medium high heat. In a bowl, combine ground beef with salt and pepper. Divide the mixture into 6 portions and shape into patties. Grill or cook patties for about 4 minutes per side until desired doneness. Add cheese slices during the last minute of cooking. Toast the buns on the grill. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce to make special sauce. Assemble the burgers by spreading special sauce on the bottom half of each bun, adding lettuce, tomato slices, pickle chips, cheddar cheese slice, smash patty, and top half of the bun.
