Dairy (optional)

Ingredients

  • 400g ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 slices of cheese (optional)
  • 2 burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion rings
  • Mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Form into two patties.
  2. Preheat the grill to medium heat, and oil the grates.
  3. Place the patties onto the grill and cook for 4 5 minutes per side or until desired doneness. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking.
  4. Toast the burger buns on the grill.
  5. Assemble the burgers: place a patty on the bottom bun, add lettuce leaves and tomato slices, top with the second patty and onion rings. Finish with a dollop of mayonnaise on the top bun.

Chef’s Insight

To get that perfect char, let the patties rest for a few minutes after cooking and then place them on the grill again to sear both sides for an additional minute each.

Notes

Adjust the seasoning and spices to your personal taste preference.
