Allergens Dairy (cheese), Wheat (tortilla chips)
Ingredients
1 (12 oz) bag tortilla chips 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 1 cup cooked ground beef, seasoned with taco seasoning 1/2 cup canned black beans, rinsed and drained 1 cup jarred salsa 1/2 cup sour cream 1/4 cup sliced green onions 1 jalapeno, thinly sliced (optional) 2 cups cooked corn chips (for base)
Instructions
Preheat your outdoor grill to medium heat (around 350°F). Spread a layer of tortilla chips on the bottom of an aluminum pan, covering it completely. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the first layer of chips. Add half of the ground beef, distributing it evenly across the cheese. Repeat the layers with tortilla chips, shredded cheddar cheese, and ground beef. Spread an even layer of black beans on top of the second layer of meat. Top with a generous scoop of salsa and spread it out over the beans. Drizzle sour cream all over the salsa layer. Garnish with sliced green onions and jalapeno (if using). Place the pan on the preheated grill and cook for 5 7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Chef’s Insight The key to this dish is layering the ingredients evenly for maximum flavor explosion in every bite!
Notes For an extra kick, try adding chopped pickled jalapenos or a dash of hot sauce to the salsa layer.
Substitutions For a vegetarian option, replace ground beef with a meat alternative or use black beans.
Alternative Preparations This recipe can also be prepared in the oven at 375°F for 10-12 minutes, or in a grilling pan on the stovetop.
Best Storage Practice Store ingredients separately in airtight containers. Nachos are best consumed immediately after cooking.
