Allergens

Wheat (from flour)

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings 1 cup all
  • purpose flour 2 tbsp paprika 1 tbsp garlic powder 1 tbsp onion powder 1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional) Salt and pepper to taste 1/4 cup BBQ sauce of your choice 1/4 cup honey 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar 1 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or smoker to medium high heat (about 375°F / 190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and toss them in the seasoned flour mixture until evenly coated. Shake off any excess flour.
  4. Place the wings directly on the grill grates and cook for 20 25 minutes, turning every 5 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  5. While the wings are cooking, in a small saucepan, combine the BBQ sauce, honey, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Once the wings are cooked through, brush them with the smoky BBQ glaze and continue to grill for an additional 2 3 minutes or until the wings develop a beautiful, sticky glaze.
  7. Remove the wings from the grill and serve immediately, while still hot and sizzling.

Chef’s Insight

For extra heat, increase the cayenne pepper to taste.

Notes

Make sure to turn the wings frequently for even cooking and to avoid sticking.
