  • sized potatoes 1 large onion, finely chopped 1/2 cup gram flour (besan) Salt, to taste Oil for frying Fresh coriander leaves, chopped Spices: cumin seeds, turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala

  1. a. Begin by washing and draining the poha. In a bowl, mix the poha with salt, cumin seeds, turmeric, and 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder. Set aside to marinate for about 10 minutes. b. Peel and chop the potatoes into thick slices. Heat oil in a pan and fry them until crisp and golden brown. Season with salt, turmeric, and 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder. Sprinkle garam masala on top and set aside. c. Prepare the onion pakoras by mixing gram flour, water, and a pinch of salt to make a thick batter. Dip the chopped onions in the batter and deep fry them until crisp and golden brown. Drain excess oil and sprinkle salt to taste. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
