Ingredients

  • 16 oz firm tofu, cubed
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup Kung Pao sauce
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp chili garlic paste
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess water and cut into 1 inch cubes. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, Kung Pao sauce, barbecue sauce, cornstarch, chili garlic paste, and brown sugar.
  3. Toss the tofu cubes in the sauce mixture until evenly coated. Let marinate for 20 minutes.
  4. In a large pan or grill over medium high heat, add vegetable oil and cook the marinated tofu until golden and caramelized, about 4 5 minutes on each side.
  5. Garnish with green onions and cilantro. Serve hot.
