  • 12 chicken wings
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp chipotle pepper in adobo sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine BBQ sauce, chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, smoked paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens slightly.
  2. Preheat your grill or griddle to medium high heat. Season chicken wings with salt and pepper. Grill or cook the wings on each side for about 7 minutes or until cooked through.
  3. Transfer cooked wings to a large bowl and pour the BBQ chipotle sauce over them. Toss to coat evenly, then return to the grill and continue cooking for an additional 5 6 minutes until the sauce caramelizes.
