Instructions

  2. In another bowl, mix together the flour, remaining 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg. Add the cold cubed butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until it forms a coarse meal.
  3. Stir in the rolled oats, sliced almonds, and brown sugar. Mix until well combined, then sprinkle the mixture over the prepared pie crust.
  4. Arrange the cinnamon spiced apple slices on top of the almond crumble layer, arranging them in a concentric pattern. Drizzle the vanilla extract evenly over the apples.
