Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice (about 8 lemons) 3 cups water 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup dried culinary lavender 6 shots vegan vodka 2 cups sparkling water 6 sprigs of fresh lavender, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the lemon juice, water, sugar, and dried lavender. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it steep for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  2. Strain the infused liquid into a pitcher, discarding the solids. Chill the lavender lemonade in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
  3. In each of six glasses, add one shot of vegan vodka and fill halfway with the chilled lavender lemonade. Top off each glass with sparkling water and gently stir.
  4. Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh lavender, and serve immediately.

Chef’s Insight

A sprinkle of edible lavender flowers on top adds an extra touch of elegance and fragrance.

Notes

Adjust the amount of sugar and vodka to your preference. More sugar will make a sweeter drink, while more vodka will increase alcohol content.

Cultural or Historical Background

This French-inspired Lavender Lemonade Sparkler is a modern twist on the classic French 75, a cocktail that dates back to World War I.
