Coconut Tree nuts (cacao)
Ingredients
- 1 cup raw cacao powder 1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted 6 medjool dates, pitted 1/4 cup honey 1 tsp vanilla extract A pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- In a food processor, blend the cacao powder, shredded coconut, and sea salt until combined.
- Add the pitted dates and process until a dough forms.
- Gradually add the melted coconut oil while processing until fully incorporated.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Roll the mixture into 16 evenly sized balls, then place them on a parchment paper lined tray.
- Freeze for 2 hours or until firm.
- Meanwhile, warm the honey in a saucepan over low heat until it becomes syrupy.
- Drizzle the honey syrup over the frozen bliss bites and return them to the freezer for another 30 minutes.
- Serve chilled with a glass of cold Brazilian guaraná soda.
Chef’s Insight
For an added touch of decadence, sprinkle some edible gold flakes on top before serving.
