  • 1 tsp instant espresso powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 3 cups coffee ice cream
  • 1/2 cup roasted almonds, chopped
  • Edible gold dust (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a double boiler or microwave, gently melt the chocolate and heavy cream together until smooth. Stir in espresso powder, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Once cooled, pour the chocolate mixture over the pie crust, smoothing it out evenly with a spatula or palette knife.
  3. Transfer the pie dish into the freezer for at least 3 hours, or until the chocolate shell is set and firm.
  4. Remove the dessert from the freezer, and place a serving plate on top of the chocolate dome. Flip it over, releasing the crust and allowing the chocolate to become the base. Gently remove the pie dish.
  5. Scoop 3 large balls of coffee ice cream onto the chocolate shell, evenly spaced apart. Sprinkle with roasted almonds.
  6. Dust lightly with edible gold dust for an otherworldly sparkle (optional).
  7. Return the dessert to the freezer until ready to serve.
