Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine the pear slices and spices (cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, and cloves).
Cook over low heat until pears are soft and fragrant, approximately 10 minutes.
Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes.
In a blender, puree the pear mixture until smooth.
Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large measuring cup, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible.
Discard the solid pulp and return the strained liquid to the blender.
