Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of saffron threads
  • 1/2 cup rose water
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes and crushed ice, as needed
  • Freshly grated nutmeg, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, cardamom, cinnamon, and saffron threads. Heat gently until just warm but not boiling, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching. Remove from heat and let it steep for 5 minutes.
  2. Strain the milk mixture into a large pitcher, discarding the spices. Stir in the rose water, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and crushed ice. Slowly pour the spiced milk punch over the ice, leaving enough space for the frothy foam to form on top.
  4. Garnish each glass with a light dusting of freshly grated nutmeg.
