Japanese Matcha Mochi Cocktail – A Paleo Delight

Ingredients

  • 3.5 oz sake 2 oz whisky 1 tbsp matcha powder 2 oz honey 1 cup coconut milk 6 pieces of dried mochi Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the matcha powder with 1 tablespoon of hot water until smooth. Set aside.
  2. In a shaker, combine sake and whisky. Add ice cubes to fill the shaker halfway.
  3. Shake well until chilled, about 20 seconds.
  4. Pour honey into a cocktail glass. Coat the inside of the glass by swirling the honey around, then remove excess honey from the rim using your finger.
  5. Strain the sake and whisky mixture into the prepared cocktail glass.
  6. Top with coconut milk. Gently stir to create a marbled effect.
  7. Drizzle matcha mixture over the top of the drink.
  8. Place a piece of mochi on each side of the glass, allowing it to rest on the rim.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy the perfect blend of traditional Japanese flavors and modern Paleo ingredients.
