Ingredients

  • 4 large ripe strawberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 8 oz semi
  • sweet chocolate
  • 3 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 6 wooden craft sticks

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Wash and dry the strawberries. Carefully hull them, using a small knife or a hulling tool. Set aside.
  3. Using a sharp knife, cut the strawberries in half, reserving one of the halves for each berry's base.
  4. Insert a wooden craft stick into each reserved strawberry half. Place them on the prepared baking sheet and freeze until solid, about 2 hours.
  5. In a microwave safe bowl, break the chocolate into small pieces. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring between each interval, until fully melted and smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
  6. Scoop 1/4 cup of vanilla ice cream onto each frozen strawberry base. Smooth the top with a spoon or an offset spatula.
  7. Dip the ice cream covered strawberries into the melted chocolate, ensuring that the entire surface is coated evenly. Shake off any excess chocolate.
  8. Place the dipped strawberries on the baking sheet and immediately add 4 5 blueberries per strawberry to create a "floral" design.
  9. Freeze until solid, about 2 hours. Enjoy your Heavenly Berry Chocolate Dipped Ice Cream Bars!
