Ingredients
- 12 oz semi
- sweet or bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp salt
- Fresh seasonal fruits and marshmallows for dipping
Instructions
- Combine the chocolate, heavy cream, butter, vanilla, and salt in a heatproof bowl.
- Set the bowl over a pot of simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water.
- Stir gently until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Transfer the fondue to a warm serving dish, or keep it in the heatproof bowl if serving right away.
- Arrange an assortment of fruits and marshmallows on small skewers or forks for dipping.
Chef’s Insight
Allow the chocolate to cool slightly before dipping, as it will be easier to work with.
