  • 2 cups button mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • For Pelmeni: 2 cups all
  • purpose flour 1 large egg 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 cup water, cold For Vodka Sauce: 1 cup heavy cream 1/4 cup vodka 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing the Pelmeni dough by combining flour, salt, egg, and cold water in a bowl. Knead until smooth and set aside to rest. Prepare the Beef Stroganoff by sautéing sliced beef sirloin with onions, garlic, and mushrooms in butter, then add sour cream and seasonings. Cook until heated through. For Vodka Sauce, gently simmer heavy cream, vodka, and Parmesan cheese, seasoning to taste. Keep warm. Roll out the rested Pelmeni dough and cut into small circles. Place a spoonful of Beef Stroganoff mixture in the center of each circle and fold over to form a dumpling. Seal edges well. Boil the dumplings in salted water until they float, then drain. Serve the Beef Stroganoff over cooked Pelmeni and drizzle with Vodka Sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley.
