  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) black peppercorns, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) cooking oil
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a deep pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add the pork belly pieces and cook until they develop a golden brown crust.
  3. Stir in the gluten free soy sauce, white vinegar, water, brown sugar, bay leaf, and crushed black peppercorns. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and let it slow cook for 45 minutes.
