  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 1 cup mixed berries (frozen)
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 scoop plant
  • based protein powder (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • Zest of 1 lime For the Citrus & Almond Granola:
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • Zest and juice of 1 small orange
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine spinach, mixed berries, avocado, almond milk, plant based protein powder (if using), chia seeds, and hemp seeds. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. For the granola, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix together oats, sliced almonds, orange zest, orange juice, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and a pinch of salt. Spread the mixture onto a lined baking sheet and bake for 20 25 minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Allow to cool.
  3. Pour the smoothie bowl base into two serving bowls, and top with the prepared Citrus & Almond Granola. Garnish with lime zest and additional berries if desired.
