Ingredients

- baked pie crust (almond flour based)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup Swerve granulated sweetener or other keto
- friendly sweetener
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup pecan halves
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, sweetener, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking thoroughly after each addition. Mix in the almond milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into the pre baked pie crust and arrange the pecan halves on top.
- Bake for 30 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
Chef’s Insight
For an extra spicy kick, try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the filling mixture.
