Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring water, milk, and salt to a boil over medium heat. Gradually add the grits, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in butter and Cheddar cheese until melted and well combined. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add bell pepper, onion, and garlic, cooking until softened, about 5 7 minutes. Add shrimp, smoked paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, thyme, salt, and black pepper, cooking for another 3 4 minutes or until shrimp is pink and cooked through.
  3. Stir in gluten free chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing to a simmer. Cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
