Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine cabbage, shiitake mushrooms, water chestnuts, carrots, and bamboo shoots.
  2. Add tofu, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and white pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Assemble the dumplings by placing a spoonful of the filling in the center of each wrapper. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold into a pleated shape to seal the dumpling.
  4. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add the dumplings, and cook for 5 minutes or until they float to the surface.
  5. Remove the cooked dumplings with a slotted spoon and arrange them in a serving bowl.
  6. In a separate saucepan, heat the vegetarian broth to a simmer. Pour the hot broth over the dumplings in the serving bowl.
