About This Recipe

A thick, creamy smoothie bowl made with frozen acai berries, banana, and mixed berries, topped with granola, fresh fruit, and coconut.

Açaí berries have been consumed by indigenous people in the Amazon rainforest for centuries, valued for their nutritional benefits and taste.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup frozen acai berries
  • 1 banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup mixed berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries)
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp honey or agave nectar
  • 1/2 cup granola
  • kiwi, sliced (topping, optional)
  • mango, diced (topping, optional)
  • shredded coconut (topping, optional)
  • chopped nuts (topping, optional)
  • edible flowers (topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a blender, combine the frozen acai berries, sliced banana, mixed berries, coconut milk, and honey or agave nectar. Blend until smooth and creamy, adding more liquid if needed to reach a thick, spoonable consistency.

  2. 2

Pour the acai mixture into a large, shallow bowl.

  3. 3

Sprinkle half of the granola evenly over the top, gently pressing it into the surface to create texture.

  4. 4

Arrange your choice of fresh fruit toppings around the edge of the bowl.

  5. 5

Finish with the remaining granola and any additional toppings such as shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or edible flowers.

  6. 6

    Serve immediately.

Chef's Notes

Feel free to adjust the sweetness to your preference by adding more or less honey or agave nectar.

Plating Tips

Arrange toppings in rows or sections for a colorful, Instagram-worthy presentation. Place sliced fruit in a fan pattern and add a drizzle of honey across the top.
