About This Recipe

A warm and spicy, yet refreshing mocktail that captures the essence of winter in Germany. This drink is perfect for festive occasions, holidays, or just a cozy night in.

German winter spices have been used in recipes for centuries, creating warm and comforting flavors during the cold months.

  • 1 cup apple cider, hot
  • 2 oz non-alcoholic mulled wine
  • 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 pinch ground cardamom
  • ground cinnamon, for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small saucepan, combine the apple cider, mulled wine, vanilla almond milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, star anise, and fresh ginger slice.

  2. 2

  3. 3

  4. 4

Pour the strained liquid into a glass or mug.

  5. 5
