Instructions

  2. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, 1 cup granulated sugar, and eggs. Mix until smooth. Stir in sour cream, cinnamon, cumin, allspice, nutmeg, and cayenne pepper. Fold in chopped pecans. Pour the filling over the cooled crust and smooth the top.
  3. Bake for 50 60 minutes, or until the center is almost set. Let it cool on a wire rack, then cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  4. In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, 2 tablespoons butter, and vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture comes to a boil. Continue cooking for another 3 4 minutes, then remove from heat and let it cool completely.
