  • 6 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 12 dill pickle slices
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Divide the ground beef into 6 equal portions.
  2. Shape each portion into a ball and then flatten into a patty.
  3. Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium high heat.
  5. Place the patties in the skillet and cook for 2 3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  6. In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese and let it melt.
  7. Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on the bottom halves of the hamburger buns.
