Tree Nuts (Almonds), Soy (Lecithin in some chocolates)
Ingredients
- 1. 1 cup raw almond butter 2. 2 cups dark chocolate (70% cacao or higher) 3. 1/4 cup coconut oil 4. 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the almond butter and coconut oil, and stir until well mixed. The mixture should be smooth and easy to handle. If it's too stiff, add a bit more coconut oil.
- Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in short intervals, stirring frequently to avoid scorching. Be sure to keep an eye on the chocolate as it melts.
- Gradually pour the melted chocolate into the almond butter mixture, folding it in until fully incorporated. The batter should be thick and glossy.
- Add a pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavors. Gently stir it into the mixture using a spatula.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the truffle mixture is firm enough to handle.
Chef’s Insight
