2 cups shredded cheese (Monterey Jack, Cheddar, or a blend)
1 cup fresh salsa (pico de gallo or your favorite variety)
2 avocados, sliced
2 cups shredded lettuce
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
1 lime, cut into wedges
1 tbsp oil for cooking
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: hot sauce or additional toppings of choice
Instructions
In a large pan over medium heat, cook the ground meat with chopped onion and minced garlic until browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then set aside.
In a separate pan, warm up the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds per side. Keep them wrapped in a clean towel to stay warm.
Assemble the tacos by adding a spoonful of cooked meat, cheese, salsa, avocado slices, shredded lettuce, and cilantro on each tortilla.
Place the loaded tacos onto a large platter or tray and serve immediately with lime wedges and additional toppings, if desired.
