Copycat Restaurant Classic Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Secret Herb Butter

Ingredients

• 1. 8 slices of your favorite bread (white, wheat or multigrain) 2. 8 slices of aged cheddar cheese 3. 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened 4. 1 tsp dried basil 5. 1 tsp dried oregano 6. Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined. Set aside.
2. Lay out four slices of bread on a clean surface. Spread a generous amount of the secret herb butter on one side of each slice of bread.
3. Place a cheese slice on top of each buttered bread slice. Top with the remaining buttered bread, making sure the herb buttered side faces the cheese.
4. Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add the sandwiches and cook for 2 3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Press down gently with a spatula to ensure even browning.
5. Remove from the skillet and let sit for 1 minute before cutting diagonally in half. Repeat the process with the remaining sandwiches.
