Ingredients
1. 800 g boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite
sized pieces 2. 1/4 cup plain yogurt 3. 2 tbsp lemon juice 4. 2 tbsp vegetable oil 5. 2 tsp garam masala 6. 1 tsp paprika 7. 1 tsp ground cumin 8. 1 tsp ground coriander 9. 1/2 tsp ground turmeric 10. 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 11. Salt and pepper, to taste 12. Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine chicken pieces, yogurt, lemon juice, and half of the spices (garam masala, paprika, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric, and cayenne pepper). Mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
Preheat your grill or broiler to medium high heat. Thread marinated chicken onto skewers, leaving a small gap between each piece. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Grill or broil the skewers for 6 8 minutes per side, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred. Baste with remaining spice mixture and vegetable oil during cooking for added flavor and color.
