Ingredients
- 1. 20 Medjool dates, pitted 2. 1 cup almond flour 3. 1/2 cup pistachios, chopped 4. 1/4 cup coconut oil 5. 1/4 cup honey 6. 1 tsp ground cinnamon 7. 1/4 tsp ground cardamom 8. Zest of 1 orange 9. A pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- In a food processor, blend the dates until they form a sticky paste.
- Add almond flour, pistachios, cinnamon, cardamom, orange zest, and sea salt to the date paste. Blend until well combined.
- Line an 8 inch springform pan with parchment paper. Press the date mixture into the pan evenly and firmly.
- In a small saucepan, melt the coconut oil over low heat. Stir in honey and orange zest, then remove from heat.
- Pour the honey mixture over the date layer in the pan, ensuring an even spread. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Remove from the pan, slice into wedges, and serve chilled.
