  • fat coconut milk (13.5 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp agar agar powder
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and pitted
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together coconut milk, sugar, agar agar, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. Heat over medium heat until the mixture begins to simmer.
  2. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, then remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract. Pour the mixture into six individual ramekins or dessert cups.
  3. Allow the panna cotta to cool and set at room temperature for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours or until fully set.
  4. For the mango coulis, blend mango with orange juice until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl.
  5. To serve, drizzle each panna cotta with mango coulis and enjoy this enchanting Thai dessert.
