Ingredients

  • 8 sheets Keto
  • friendly phyllo dough 2 cups walnuts, coarsely chopped 1/4 cup granulated erythritol 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 6 tablespoons melted grass
  • fed unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the walnuts, erythritol, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg in a bowl and set aside.
  3. Carefully layer 4 sheets of phyllo dough on a baking sheet, brushing each with melted butter and sprinkling an even layer of the walnut mixture on top. Repeat with the remaining 4 sheets.
  4. Cut the layered dough into diamond shapes using a sharp knife, making sure to cut through all the layers.
  5. Bake for 20 25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. While the baklava is baking, prepare the syrup by heating 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of granulated erythritol in a saucepan over medium heat until dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
  7. Once the baklava has finished baking, immediately pour the cooled syrup evenly over the top. Let it stand for 30 minutes before serving.

To enhance the nutty flavor of the walnuts, toast them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes before using.
