  • 1. 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined 2. 1 cup fireball whiskey (or substitute with hot sauce) 3. 8 corn tortillas 4. 1 avocado, sliced 5. 1 cup shredded cabbage 6. 1 lime, cut into wedges 7. 1/2 cup cilantro leaves 8. 1/2 cup crumbled cotija cheese 9. 1 tbsp olive oil 10. Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, marinate shrimp in fireball whiskey for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
  2. Preheat grill or grill pan on medium high heat.
  3. Remove shrimp from marinade and season with salt and pepper. Thread shrimp onto skewers or directly onto the grill.
  4. Grill shrimp for 2 3 minutes per side, until cooked through and slightly charred.
  5. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add shrimp to the pan, remove from heat, and let sit for a minute to finish cooking.
  6. Warm corn tortillas on grill or in the microwave.
  7. Assemble tacos with shrimp, avocado slices, cabbage, lime wedges, cilantro, and cotija cheese.
  8. Serve immediately with extra fireball sauce on the side.
