Ingredients

  • 1. 6 lbs pork ribs, cut into individual rib sections 2. 1 cup ketchup 3. 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 4. 1/4 cup brown sugar 5. 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce 6. 1/4 cup molasses 7. 2 tbsp chili powder 8. 2 tbsp paprika 9. 1 tbsp garlic powder 10. 1 tbsp onion powder 11. Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dry rub by combining chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Coat ribs with the dry rub, making sure each piece is evenly covered.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and molasses.
  3. Preheat grill to medium high heat (approximately 350°F/175°C). Grill ribs over direct heat for 2 minutes per side. Then, move them to indirect heat and continue cooking for an additional 35 40 minutes or until tender and cooked through.
  4. Generously brush the BBQ sauce mixture on each side of the ribs during the last 10 minutes of grilling, allowing the flavors to meld together. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Chef’s Insight

Allow the ribs to rest before slicing for easier cutting and more tender meat.
