Ingredients

  • 1. 1 ½ lbs ground beef (80% lean) 2. 4 large hamburger buns 3. 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce 4. 1 cup sliced tomatoes 5. 1 cup sliced red onions 6. 1 cup pickles 7. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 8. Firecracker Sauce (recipe below) 9. Salt and pepper, to taste Firecracker Sauce: 1. ½ cup ketchup 2. ¼ cup apple cider vinegar 3. 3 tbsp Sriracha sauce 4. 2 tbsp brown sugar 5. 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce 6. 1 tsp garlic powder 7. 1 tsp onion powder 8. ½ tsp smoked paprika 9. Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper, mixing gently until combined. Form the meat into 4 patties, making a small indentation in the center of each patty.
  3. Grill the patties for 5 minutes per side or until cooked to your desired doneness. In the last minute of grilling, add slices of cheese on top of each patty to melt. Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes.

  5. To assemble the burger bowls, slice open each hamburger bun, lightly toast on the grill, and set aside. Place shredded lettuce at the bottom of each bun, followed by burger patties with melted cheese, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, and a generous drizzle of Firecracker Sauce.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your Firecracker Game Day Burger Bowl with friends and family.
