Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef chuck (80% lean)
  • 24 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup Zesty Boil Sauce (recipe below)
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 3 cups coleslaw
  • 12 slices applewood smoked bacon, cooked crispy
  • Pickle chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Prepare Zesty Boil Sauce (see recipe below).
  2. Form ground beef into 6 patties, making a small depression in the center of each. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Preheat grill to medium high heat. Grill burgers to desired doneness, about 4 minutes per side for medium. In the last minute of cooking, brush both sides of the burgers with Zesty Boil Sauce.
  4. In a large pot, bring water to boil and add shrimp. Cook for 2 3 minutes until pink. Drain and toss with half of the remaining Zesty Boil Sauce.
  5. To assemble burgers, place each patty on the bottom of a bun, followed by 4 shrimp, coleslaw, 2 slices of bacon, pickle chips, and cilantro. Serve immediately.

To make the Zesty Boil Sauce, combine 1 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup hot sauce, 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, and 2 teaspoons garlic powder.
