  • free ladyfingers 1 cup strong espresso, cooled 1/3 cup amaretto liqueur 1 cup mascarpone cheese 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 tsp pure vanilla extract 1 cup heavy whipping cream 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso and amaretto liqueur. Dip each ladyfinger into the mixture briefly, then arrange them in the bottom of a trifle dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture gently but thoroughly.
  4. Spoon the mascarpone cream over the soaked ladyfingers in an even layer, then sprinkle cocoa powder delicately across the surface.
  5. Repeat the layers of espresso soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone cream until all ingredients are used, finishing with a dusting of cocoa powder.
  6. Cover and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
