Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8 inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the glutinous rice flour, sugar, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
Add the milk, egg, and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Mix gently until a smooth batter forms. Be careful not to overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake for 25 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, dust with icing sugar if desired, and serve.
