Allergens

Nuts (almonds)

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup almonds, roughly chopped
  • 3 tablespoons coconut aminos
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon xanthan gum (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the beef sirloin with coconut aminos, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium high heat. Remove the beef from the marinade, allowing any excess liquid to drip off. Add the beef to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5 6 minutes. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and cook for 2 3 minutes or until slightly tender but still crisp. Add the chopped almonds and cook for another minute.
  4. If using xanthan gum as a thickening agent, mix it with 1 tablespoon of water in a small bowl. Add this mixture to the skillet, stirring quickly to combine with the broccoli and almonds. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss everything together to combine. Season with more salt and pepper if needed.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with green onions, over cauliflower rice or with your favorite low carb side dish.
