  • 8 oz beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups cooked white rice, cold

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef in soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and black pepper for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
  2. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the chopped kimchi and cook for 2 minutes to release the flavors.
  4. Add the cold white rice to the skillet with the kimchi. Stir well to combine and cook for 3 4 minutes until heated through.
  5. Season the rice with salt and pepper, if needed.
  6. Divide the rice between four bowls, top each with cooked beef and green onions.

The secret to tender beef lies in slicing it thinly against the grain.

Notes
