Ingredients

  • 1 cup gluten
  • free chickpeas, cooked and drained 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped 2 tablespoons harissa paste 1 tablespoon ground coriander 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1/2 teaspoon ground paprika Salt and pepper, to taste 3 tablespoons gluten
  • free flour 1 egg, beaten Oil for frying Lemon tahini dip (recipe below)

Instructions

  1. a. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, garlic, parsley, cilantro, harissa paste, coriander, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Blend until well combined but still slightly chunky. b. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and fold in gluten free flour and beaten egg. Shape into 1 inch balls and set aside. c. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Carefully drop falafel bites into the hot oil, cooking them in batches if needed to avoid crowding. Fry until golden brown and crispy, approximately 3 4 minutes per side. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. d. Serve immediately with lemon tahini dip for dipping.
