Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom pods, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons granulated erythritol
  • Juice of 4 lemons
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, water, cinnamon sticks, and crushed cardamom pods. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  2. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes, or until the berries have softened and released their juices.
  3. Remove from heat and strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
  4. Stir in the erythritol until dissolved, then add the lemon juice. Chill the mixture for at least 2 hours or until completely cold.
  5. When ready to serve, pour the chilled berry spice infusion into glasses filled with ice, if desired. Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint and enjoy.
