Instructions

  1. Preheat a non stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine masa harina, water, oil, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a round patty.
  4. Place the patties onto the preheated skillet or griddle and cook for 5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. For the avocado smash, combine avocado, lime juice, garlic, cilantro, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mash until smooth.
  6. In a separate pan, fry the eggs to your desired preference.
