Ingredients

  • 2 large boiled eggs, peeled 4 slices of rye bread, toasted 1 small jar of pickled cucumbers 8 oz smoked kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • For the cheese platter: 4 oz Polish cheeses (Turowski, Oscyptek, or Serk) Fresh herbs for garnish

    Boil the eggs in a small saucepan for 10 minutes, then immediately transfer to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Peel and set aside. Toast the rye bread slices and set them on a serving platter. Arrange the boiled eggs on top of the toast. Place the pickled cucumbers on the side of the toast. Arrange the sliced smoked kielbasa sausage around the eggs and bread. For the cheese platter, unwrap the Polish cheeses and arrange them alongside the other items on the platter, garnishing with fresh herbs.
